Sisto-GrandfatherTree Pact

The baby spent his days under the mango tree all day, each day. The old lady who took care of him would be sleeping most of the time, especially during afternoons, when outside the shade the sand would be hot. The baby remained within the shade of the tree. Later as he grew up, somewhere along the way he got sick and had to lie down on his bed all day. His parents and relatives were all around, appearing to be taking care of him. But beneath his closed eyes search was on for a part of his brain that was missing and only his l'lle sister noticed it. Her eyes told that she knew what it was all about. Somewhere in that night a small l'lle squirrel kid snuggled up to her warm squirrel mother.
Next day morning when she came to her brother's room, she saw the grandfather tree in there, one of his branches drooped down and touching the forehead of the boy sleeping with a faint sleepy smile. Sister gave a faint smiling sigh.
The adults were taken by surprise and rendered opinion less when the little girl asserted that "he belongs there", pointing to where the boy used to play under the tree.
The grandfather tree who stood for centuries had dried up and gone…
The all knowing sister never dropped her deep knowing look all her life till she disappeared one fine night into the minds of forsaken l'lle children as comforting stories of how even an immovable great tree is always moved when a little sister orders him with love, for the love of her brother.
