Constant reference by 2 to 4 db

"It is better to have a reference, a constant, so that you can see what is changing while you have a non changing part to hold on to. This gives clarity about the nature of the solution we are trying for. Most of the time the questions for which we try to find answers during counseling, are understood as not really necessary questions, that they are not really close to your heart, but are just asked while you are worried about some other core things, but can't really see clearly and/or is afraid to touch! That is why i said, breathing or chanting is a more profitable investment, activity wise if your intention is to live a more satisfying life."

Ok. He did not really like that, and of course he raised his voice by 2 to 4 db to convince me how i am all wrong and how the questions are obviously real questions. And of course unsolvable questions. Who wants to be such a light sort of person, who asks easily solvable questions, that too in the philosophical and life realm. Most people think that they are stupid, and then try not to look stupid by doing silly things! Well that is autobiographical, so i know. As it progressed to a smirk and started venturing into correction of my personal life, myself spake thus:

"Dear friend, from the way you are making the points, the fervour, rather than the points themselves, i would think that you long to be understood, to be told that you are alright, that you are not all wrong and stupid, that it is alright to live ones own life and have ones own reasons, though there maybe imaginary and real people and theories questioning you why you have that reason to base your living on! Oh friend, i just stayed the constant here. You can have the constant in you always, and that is where we started the conversation. Who does not want to be loved for just what they are! Would you like to have some Papdi chat?"

Complex Problem Solving

maybe like shepherding. the sheep keep moving and you constantly converge having some sort of a direction. it is not a single point focused direction, but you do get places you want. one who wishes the behaviour of the sheep to be perfect will have to kill them. but then you are in a different business and the sheep have no life!

Call back home

The taxi driver came to Dubai since he had too many debts to pay back at home. Vyom does not know if the driver really hoped to earn more money in Dubai, but looks like the driver's financial situation was pretty bad. He had not called home- his wife and children -for four months. Before he used to call once in a month, but now he is not able to do that. The cab reached where Vyom had to. Vyom asked for the driver's home number. Vyom dialled the number in his phone and the driver talked to his family for the first time after all these months. As he finished the conversation and returned the phone, Vyom says the driver was crying, repeatedly saying 'No one else would have done this for him... he never thought anyone would do something like this for him...' Pretty moved, of course he would have been, but he never said "that too an Indian." I don't think from his house in Pakistan he could see the so called line that separates him from India, or the kids in Pakistan from those in India. Anyway he did not draw that line. Vyom didn't, for sure. This is a true story, in case you wanted to know.
